Come On Baby, Finish What Ya Started

I'm bored, it's like midnight almost and I really wanna talk about Van Halen.

In honor of my buddy Ava, I'mma post Finish What Ya Started:

I really do love this song. I don't think I really have a favorite "Van Hagar" song (I HATE THAT TERM!) but, this one is really original from their others. Just think, compare this to Dreams-- totally different. This video especially makes me really happy though, purely because Eddie is such a babe in this one. Plus, Sammy, he's just... He seems like a really nice guy ya know? I would totally 4-wheel with him in Cabo XDD

Ever notice how WHITE Sammy's teeth are? Maybe it's just because he's got an awesome skin tone-- being part Lebanese and all. Eddie has darker skin tone too, he's got Indian genes from his mommy. *cough-knowitall-cough* =D

Now, I had to include this video- and if you plan on watching any of it, at the least watch it from around 6:22 to the end. Seems like a lot, but I swear it's VITAL TO YOUR LIFE! Hehe.

My favorite part is the part that I told everyone to at least watch, and it includes:

1. An homage to Bocephus, thank you Alex.
2. Animal sounds, courtesy of Eddie.
3. Random acts of violence towards band members and camera men.
4. Addicted to Love lineup- via the band. (The BEST part)

Note: They took the video off of Youtube that I had up originally, so here is a longer version. I changed the times I told you were imperative though (because I'm just that nice!)

I found this when I was watching every Van Halen video available on YouTube, after we finally got high speed internet *stabbitystab-dialup-swashbuckle*. It makes me giggle ^.^

Now, for some quotes and commentary:

"Bun of a sitch! A Bocephus cap!"
I thank Alex eternally for adding that spoonerism into my vocabulary.
"Bocephus RULES and RULES AAAALL!"
"Now I'm not talking vile, disgusting acts of human behavior."
Suuure you're not. I think it would be worse if Dave was around though XDD
"I thought you was Dale!"
"Wha-- Where's he running to? Where's he goin'?"
Hehe, ya know, Sammy's dad was a boxer, and Sammy was for a while too.

Notice in the background when Eddie's "hitting" the camera with his headstock-- what the heck is Sammy even doing? Pft. Hilarious I tell you.

Aaaand my favorite:
---"I like my mom, when she's not home... And she's tiIght... but not alone" ... and then Sammy says something indecipherable.

I think the best part is this is COMPLETELY wrong XD ("The lights are on, but you're not home. Your mind, is not your own."

Actually, you know, I take that back, in all seriousness (HA!) I think hearing Eddie PLAY Addicted to Love is one of the best things to ever happen. It makes me smile a mile wide. Plus, Alex, what the-- he's got some nipple grab thing goin'...

Last, notice how BAD their pants and shoes are? That's one thing you can say about Dave, he had pretty good pants, and shoes actually-- except for the ones where he's trying to show off his package, those are mostly just funny. I think I should make a post about David Lee Roth, since I love him too.

Ultimately though, I think I really like this video the most because it explains why I like rock stars as people. They're the underdogs, the dorks, the ugly kids without dates-- but they're extremely talented and somehow present themselves in a way that millions of people think is cool. I hope to be one of those talents, because I'm the dork, the ugly kid who's not gonna date-- I identify with them.
